Towradgi Beach Park is a fantastic beachside attraction located just five kilometres north of Wollongong.
Salt water rock pool formations make for a brilliant natural playground to explore at low tide. There’s also the man-made playground in the park for the little ones to run amok to their hearts content.
The beach is a popular option year-round and beach fishing is another pastime favoured by locals. Towradgi Rock Pool is a rectangular salt water ocean pool enclosed by a rock wall, perfect for practicing laps in calm and refreshing sea water.
There’s plenty of parking and barbecue facilities are available for a family picnic.
The Towradgi Bowling and Recreation club is situated nearby making for a great place to catch lunch or dinner after a morning or afternoon frolicking on the beach.
Towradgi Beach is a time share dog beach. Time sharing zone allows access on the beach on leash in summer before 9am and after 6pm, and in winter before 9am and after 4pm.
The beach itself, Towradgi Beach, extends three kilometres from Towradgi Creek up north all the way down to the southern estuary where Cabbage Tree Creek and Fairy Creek meet.
