The first and only dedicated children’s museum in Australia is located at the University of Wollongong – the Early Start Learning Centre is a fantastic attraction for kids.

The impressive centre is full of incredible hands-on learning and fun experiences for children – interactive exhibits, hands-on play time and super fun places to explore and discoveries to make.

It also features a well renowned cafe inside for parents to relax while the little ones explore.

There’s building and construction area for boys, caves to explore with flashlights, dinosaur bones to dig up, a  pirate ship to play in and a proper mini shopping centre with mini trolleys, fruit and veg stands, counters with cash registers even a mini trolley bay. Like a kid’s imagination playground come to life.

From regularly scheduled activities like arts and crafts and acting workshops through to brilliant puzzles – the place is a wonder, some of the activities are fun for adults too.

The goal is to nourish the connection between learning and play and ignite a love of learning – the experiences and ideas to take home may be the greatest part of all.

Catering for a range of experiences, ages and interests – the Early Start Learning Centre should be on your list to do if you’ve got family time planned.
