Residents and visitors are welcome to come along to Kiama’s big community car boot sale on Saturday 28 September.
Second Hand Saturday is a community event established by Kiama Council that gives residents the chance to sell, trade or give away their unwanted items in a big community car boot sale.
The purpose of the event is that not only is it good for community spirit, it also assists in reducing the amount of cleanup material going to landfill by promoting reuse of items, which then benefits the environment.
In its 6th year, the event, which is held twice a year, attracts around 100 cars each time.
Everyone is urged to come along and grab a second-hand bargain from any of the stall holders participating on the day.
Hosts of the event, Minnamurra Lions, will receive all the gate takings generated from a gold coin donation for registered participants and the general public.
To register a site, you must be a resident of the Kiama Municipality.
