This is a great day out for the whole family.
Based at the University of Wollongong, the Science Centre and Planetarium features more than 100 hands-on exhibits.
And the Illawarra Coal Science Theatre offers an assortment of educational science shows, from exploding balloons with nitrogen gas, to being placed inside a bubble.
Learn about the universe as you explore the stars and constellations in the Bluescope Steel Planetarium, which is the largest planetarium in New South Wales.
The Centre also includes a kiosk and a picnic area outside.
